Job Title: Busser
Job Summary:
The busser is responsible for maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment by assisting with clearing and resetting tables, supporting servers, and ensuring the restaurant floor is organized and clean. This position involves working closely with both the front-of-house team and kitchen staff to provide exceptional guest service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Table Clearing & Resetting:
- Clear dirty dishes, utensils, glassware, and napkins from tables after guests leave.
- Reset tables with clean linens, silverware, glasses, and condiments for the next group of guests.
- Replace used or empty items such as salt and pepper shakers, napkins, and menus.
- Assisting Servers:
- Help servers by refilling drinks, delivering food to tables, and providing additional items like napkins or condiments.
- Assist with food delivery to ensure the smooth flow of service.
- Cleaning & Maintaining Dining Area:
- Sweep, mop, and clean floors, as needed, to maintain a tidy and pleasant atmosphere.
- Clean and sanitize high-traffic areas such as restrooms, waiting areas, and hallways.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining furniture, including wiping down tables, chairs, and booths.
- Restocking & Organizing:
- Restock service stations with necessary items like silverware, glassware, napkins, condiments, and drink refills.
- Ensure the kitchen and bar are adequately stocked with necessary supplies (plates, utensils, etc.).
- Guest Support:
- Greet guests and ensure they are comfortable while waiting for a table.
- Assist in seating guests or directing them to their assigned tables.
- Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Work with other restaurant staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
- Help the kitchen staff by transporting dirty dishes and helping with other tasks as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
- Physical Stamina:** Ability to lift and carry heavy trays, dishes, and supplies, and stand for long periods.
- Attention to Detail:** Ensuring all tables are clean and properly set up.

Mark Lehmkuhl’s Ghosthouse Design Group x Love Jayne Studios is Inhabiting a tent-like structure, inspired by luxurious riads- Habibi welcomes guests on a captivating visual journey,
echoing the fiery atmosphere and unique traditions of French Morocco.
Alhambra design elements on the outside and a 30-foot long red carpet entrance set the tone for the opulent atmosphere inside with a dining room outfitted with crystal chandeliers, Turkish rugs, velvet booths and silk draperies.
The restaurant has a capacity for 200 and will include an outdoor patio with plans for sunset parties as well as a bar adorned with hookahs that will also feature one-of-a-kind tableside hookah service with customized infusions and flavors.
Nightly shows of roving belly dancers, contortionists and percussionists who will circle the dining room will enhance the nightlife-as-theater experience.
The menu encompasses a variety of tasty continental and Middle Eastern shareable dishes appealing to a broad range of palates, with highlights like Merguez Pigs in a Blanket, Whole Roasted Cauliflower with Charred Wild Mushrooms, Lemon Roasted Chicken and Herbed Yogurt, plus comfort food like Wagyu Burger Sliders, Miso-Honey Glazed Sea Bass Skewers,
and a selection of sushi, complimented by sips and tea service. Tableside dessert carts will include ice cream with Turkish mastic and Halva cheesecake.
The bar program at Habibi draws on the North African and Mediterranean lifestyle, showcasing
unique ingredients and flavors that induce a strong sense of place. In executing this motif, the beverage team employs techniques like fat washing – the process of toasting seeds to pull out their oils and infusing them in spirits overnight – to achieve rich textures and bold aromas.
Habibi Miami is due to open Spring 2024.
