As we continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our team and help maintain our high standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities Operations Management
- - Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant including opening and closing procedures, inventory management and guest service standards.
- - Monitor and maintain food/drink quality, consistency and presentation.
- - Manage kitchen and dining room operations to guarantee timely, accurate and exceptional service.
- - Work with other management staff to order and stock all restaurant supplies.
- - Schedule repairs, maintenance and coordination for all equipment and mechanicals for the restaurant.
- - Address and resolve guest concerns, complaints and feedback to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- Extensive knowledge of all POS applications with training capabilities.
Leadership & Staff Management
- - Hire, train, and mentor a passionate team of front of house employees.
- - Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning ensuring a high morale and low turnover.
- - Develop and implement staff schedules to ensure proper coverage during all hours of operation.
- - Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to staff members to support growth and development.
- - Ensure compliance with all company policies, health regulations and safety standards.
- - Ensure all employees have necessary and up to date credentials and paperwork on file.
- - Participate in weekly management meetings
Financial Management
- - Develop and manage budgets, including labor costs, food costs and operational expenses.
- - Analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement and cost saving opportunities.
- - Implement pricing strategies and promotions to drive sales while maintaining profitability.
- - Track and report key performance indicators such as sales growth, guest satisfaction and employee performance.
Guest Experience
- - Ensure that all guests receive a high standard of service from start to finish.
- - Maintain an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality, reflecting the values and mission of the restaurant.
- - Engage with customers to gather feedback and improve the overall dining experience.
Qualifications
- - 3+ years of management and leadership experience, preferably in high-end or multi-venue establishments.
- - Extensive knowledge of restaurant operations, including front of house and kitchen management.
- - Proven ability to lead and develop teams, with a strong focus on training and mentorship.
- - High level of customer service and genuine passion for hospitality.
- - Financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and financial reports.
- - Be available to work mornings, late nights and weekends.
- - Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with ability to think quickly on your feet in a fast-paced environment.
- - Familiarity with the Chicago dining and beverage scene is a strong plus.
- - Provide support when business needs require.
