Pan Pan Bakery, a loved neighborhood spot in Greenpoint, is seeking an exceptional Head Baker to lead our small, tight-knit team. Known for our warm, cozy atmosphere and a loyal following of neighbors and regulars, we’re dedicated to crafting artisanal baked goods with well-sourced, high-quality ingredients.
This is an opportunity to shape and contribute creatively to our baking program.
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily production of bread and viennoiserie, maintaining exceptional quality and consistency.
- Develop and refine recipes to highlight the best seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients.
- Collaborate with the team to create innovative new offerings.
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, and cost control to ensure efficiency.
- Lead a small team of bakers in a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.
Qualifications:
- Expertise in bread baking and viennoiserie is essential.
- Previous management experience is strongly preferred.
- A creative vision and a desire to make your mark on the bakery program.
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
