Grill Cook

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of grilled dishes, ensuring that all meals meet our high standards for quality and presentation. This role requires a commitment to excellence in fine dining and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Duties

• Prepare and cook grilled items according to established recipes and menu specifications.
• Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station, including proper storage of ingredients and tools.
• Utilize kitchen equipment safely, including knives and grills, while adhering to best practices for food handling.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Assist in catering events as needed, providing high-quality food service to guests.
• Monitor inventory levels of grilling supplies and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
• Support the dietary department by accommodating special dietary requests when necessary.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Grill Cook or in a similar role within the food service industry.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
• Proficiency in using kitchen equipment, particularly grills and knives.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• A passion for fine dining and commitment to delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
• Previous experience in catering or dietary aide roles is a plus but not required.
