We are a popular and well-established restaurant in the vibrant Avondale neighborhood of Chicago, known for providing exceptional dining experiences, from intimate dinners to large private events. We’re seeking a proactive and personable Private Dining Manager to join our team and help expand our private dining and events business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee private dining operations from initial inquiry to event execution, ensuring flawless coordination.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and grow private dining sales.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement strategies to increase event bookings.
- Partner with the culinary team to create personalized menus tailored to clients' preferences and budgets.
- Manage contracts, invoicing, and negotiations for private events.
- Ensure all private dining events meet the restaurant's high service standards.
- Utilize OpenTable, Tripleseat Event Management, and Toast POS for reservations, event planning, and restaurant management.
- Assist with floor management duties as needed, including supervising front-of-house staff, addressing guest concerns, and ensuring smooth daily operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in restaurant management, private dining, or event sales.
- Proven success in increasing revenue through private dining and event sales.
- Proficiency in OpenTable, Tripleseat Event Management, and Toast POS is required.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences.
- Knowledge of food and beverage trends and the ability to work collaboratively with the culinary team.
- Ability to manage floor operations when necessary.
