Job Details
The Alderman, from Renwick Hospitality Group, is looking to add a strong food & beverage manager to the team. An ode to the New York City Renaissance, The Alderman is an upscale tavern in the heart of Times Square

Job Summary: The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant and bar, ensuring the highest standards of service, quality, and guest satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of food and beverage management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Opening and Closing: Oversee the opening and closing of the restaurant and bar spaces, ensuring all procedures are followed.

  • Order Management: Intake orders to ensure items are correct, verify invoices, and share them with the finance team.

  • Floor Planning: Plan the floor and prepare pre-shift briefings in accordance with Renwick Hospitality standards.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest standards of service, food, and beverage quality.

  • Guest Communication: Communicate with guests to support their experience and address any concerns or special requests.

  • Floor Presence: Maintain a strong floor presence during service to ensure all steps of service and hospitality expectations align with RHG core values.

  • Administrative and Financial Responsibilities: Follow all Renwick Hospitality standards for administrative and financial tasks, including team reports, cash drawers, recording cash intake, and end-of-night reports.

  • Team Training and Support: Possess strong knowledge and understanding of all beverage and food items to help with training and building team confidence and communication with guests.

  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels to ensure adequate supply while minimizing waste.

  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and procedures.

  • Event Coordination: Assist in planning and executing special events and promotions within the restaurant and bar.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the team to achieve operational excellence and deliver outstanding guest experiences.

  • Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve any guest complaints or operational issues promptly and effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in food and beverage management.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Thorough understanding of restaurant operations and inventory management.

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Open Availability is required for all leadership positions.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($67,500.00 - $72,000.00)
