A renowned high-end beer bar and neighborhood restaurant in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, is seeking a passionate and talented Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. Known for our carefully curated beer program and elevated bar food, we take pride in offering a unique culinary experience that complements our extensive beverage selection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a team of kitchen staff, ensuring consistency in quality, presentation, and taste.
  • Develop and innovate seasonal menus featuring elevated bar food that pairs well with our beer offerings.
  • Oversee all kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering, and supplier relationships.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Monitor food costs and manage kitchen expenses to meet financial targets.
  • Collaborate closely with the front-of-house team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume, high-quality bar or restaurant setting.
  • Strong culinary skills with a creative approach to elevated bar cuisine.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of beer and food pairings is a plus.
  • Commitment to sustainability and using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
