Kitchen Porter

Our restaurant is looking for a Kitchen Porter and Bakery Prep Cook, to work during our dinner service to support a busy kitchen. We are looking for someone with a good attitude, a teamwork mindset who is willing to be diligent about keeping things organized in a small space. The position is integral to the smooth running of service. The position is located at our Brooklyn based storefront. This position will also be responsible for bakery prep work a few days a week. This includes tasks like proofing croissants.

This position performs all duties related to dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant area, both back of house and customer area.

The position is full time, 6pm-2am Tuesday-Saturday, with Sunday and Monday off  

Responsibilities include:

• Sweeping, mopping
• Organizing trash areas and dish area
• Organizing storage areas
• Dish washing / drying / putting away dishes 
• Taking out the trash end of day
• Cleaning ovens, fridges, etc
• Proofing croissants
• Working quickly and efficiently
• Active communication
