Position Description  

As the Beverage Manager at Cucina, you will play a crucial role in creating a memorable dining experience for our guests. You will be responsible for developing and managing an extensive beverage program that aligns with the restaurant's upscale concept and enhances the overall dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess a deep knowledge of wines, spirits, and other beverages, along with a keen understanding of current industry trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Curate and Manage Beverage Selection:
    • Manage a comprehensive beverage menu, including a diverse wine list, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options.
    • Help Sourcing and select premium wines and spirits that complement Chef Adam Leonti's renowned culinary offerings and cater to a sophisticated clientele.
  2. Staff Training and Development:
    • Conduct regular training sessions for the front-of-house staff to ensure a high level of product knowledge and service standards.
    • Foster a culture of excellence in customer service and beverage presentation.
  3. Supplier Relations:
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and distributors to ensure the availability of high-quality and unique beverage options.
  4. Menu Development:
    • Collaborate with the culinary team to create beverage pairings that enhance the flavors of the menu items.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and incorporate innovative and on-trend beverage options into the menu.
  5. Wine Cellar Management:
    • Oversee the organization and management of the wine cellar, ensuring proper storage conditions and inventory control.
    • Develop a strategy for wine cellar growth and expansion.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within a high-end restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of wines, spirits, and craft cocktails.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to create and implement successful beverage programs.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Certification or degree in sommelier studies or related field is a plus.
  • Ability to meet physical and scheduling demands of the position, including, walking, standing, or lifting heavy items (40 pounds or more) for extended periods and open availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays 

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($80,000.00 - $100,000.00)
