Job Details



Violet Los Angeles, a Cali-French bistro, cooking school and shop opening in Westwood Village, is seeking friendly, genuine hosts to join our team!

Our ideal candidate has a passion for all things food and beverage, thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and takes joy in creating memorable guest experiences. She or he:

  • conducts themselves in a positive fashion while multi-tasking and prioritizing 
  • hospitable, genuine and friendly
  • great critical-thinking skills and a natural sense of urgency
  • great team player
  • strong follow-through

Basic responsibilities include:

Answering the phone and answering questions, making reservations

Greeting and saying good-bye to everyone in the building

Seating guests in a timely manner

Creating memorable experiences for all diners

Completing sidework every shift and running food/bussing tables as necessary.

Her years studying in France, working in food production and restaurants, running a wholesale food business and cooking school, and being part of her family’s hotel business have led her to create a unique gathering place centered around good cooking and good company. The charming Bistro, Cooking School, Bar and Shop have become a destination for locals, foodies, and experience-seekers of all ages. Head Chef Brittany Cassidy trained under Rustic Canyon's and Birdie G.'s Jeremy Fox for seven years before taking the helm at Violet. She is a dedicated mentor who believes that anyone with a work ethic and a love of food can train to become a chef.
The flavors of Violet® are a blend of Chef Slatkin's and Chef Cassidy's take on California/French comfort fare.
