Job Summary:
The Takeout Server position provides exceptional service and hospitality to every take-out guest
in the restaurant while participating in teamwork ensuring absolute guest satisfaction. Takeout
Servers are responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and
efficient manner and ensuring guests get their orders without delay. As a direct link between the
guest and the restaurant a takeout server plays the leading role in developing positive, lasting
guest relationships by consistently delivering an excellent takeout experience every time. Must
be able to operate effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, ensure smooth service
operations and provide consistent, pleasant, quality service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
● Welcome all guests and ensure guests receive responsive, professional and gracious
service always.
● Greet customers as they arrive at take out in a timely manner.
● Take orders from guests over the phone and in person.
● Answer any questions about the menu, specific food items, or any other inquiries the
guest may have.
● Describe all menu items, prices, and methods of preparation.
● Understand the order taken and any changes in the menu, dietary restrictions, food
allergies, etc.
● Ensure order accuracy every time.
● Prepare, serve, and package all items for takeout and delivery orders.
● Aware of all upcoming orders and the status of them.
● Utilize and understand third party delivery services.
● Recording all monetary transactions with precision, generating bills, and collecting
payment.
● Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the
restaurant's standards.
● Maintain a clean, safe environment always in the Takeout area and service stations.
● Participate in Pre-Shift meetings and learn new menu items.
● Perform all side work applicable to assigned station.
● Perform other duties as assigned.

● Ability to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the restaurant’s
operating area.
● Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Education, Credentials, and Experience:
● At least 21 years of age.
● High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
● Find dining and wine knowledge a plus.
● Maintain a BASSET and ServeSafe Food Handlers Certification.
● Successful completion of the company’s Food and Beverage training program.
Physical Demands:
● Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout restaurant space.
● Prolonged periods of sitting.
● Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
● Occasionally climbing and descending stairs.
● Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
● Required to use hands and arms to reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
● Ability to operate carts, dollies, and other equipment to move items through space.
● Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
● Comfortable in tight spaces.
● Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
● Ability to safely lift and easily maneuver items such as plates, products, and cases of
water, wine or dry goods.
