Balos is currently seeking Front of House Managers to round out our vibrant management team!

About Us: Balos Estiatorio is a new and premier Greek restaurant known for its authentic cuisine, exceptional service, and luxurious dining experience. We pride ourselves on creating warm, inviting atmosphere where guests can enjoy the finest Greek dishes crafted with the freshest ingredients. We have been added to the Michelin Guide and have been highly rated among very well-respected food critics and news outlets. We are seeking an experienced and driven Front of House Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure seamless dining experience for our guests.

Position Overview: Front of House managers are responsible for daily front-of-house operations, with a strong focus on opening and closing duties. This role ensures the smooth execution of service, maintains high standards of hospitality, and supports the staff in delivering exceptional guest experiences. Balos is a high-energy dining hotspot where the atmosphere is electric, and the vibe is contagious. Guests are transported straight to the islands of Greece.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily front-of-house operations, ensuring all guests receive outstanding service.
  • Execute opening and closing procedures, including staff check-ins, weekly management meetings, and end-of-day reconciliation.
  • Supervise and support the service team during shifts, addressing staff and guest issues as they arise.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily goals, specials, and updates to the team.
  • Manage rotations of sections, seating, and reservations to optimize the flow of service in a high-volume environment
  • Enforce company policies and procedures, health and safety regulations, and company standards.
  • Collaborate with the Chef team to ensure timely and accurate food delivery
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve any issues professionally and promptly
  • Assist with staff training and continued education, coaching, and development to maintain a strong and motivated team.
  • Monitor inventory of front-of-house supplies and coordinate with management team for restocking and ordering.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Front of House manager or similar role in a high-volume restaurant.
  • Knowledge of Greek cuisine and hospitality is a strong advantage.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Proficiency with point-of-sale systems (micros, toast, clover) and reservation software (sevenrooms, resy, opentable)
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to building relationships.
