About the Position:

Xiquet by Danny Lledó, Washington D.C.’s Michelin-starred destination for fine Valencian cuisine, is seeking a dedicated and talented Pastry Chef to join our world-class culinary team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Chef de cuisine to execute and refine dessert menus and bread programs.
  • Prepare and present intricate, high-quality desserts and pastries that align with the restaurant’s Michelin-starred standards.
  • Uphold consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in every aspect of pastry production.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of pastry and prep areas, adhering to all health and safety standards.
  • Contribute creative ideas to the development of new pastry offerings.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure seamless execution of service.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in pastry or dessert preparation, ideally in a fine dining or Michelin-starred setting.
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to mastering the art of pastry.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work from the afternoon and continuing through the evening.
  • A passion for creating memorable dining experiences through dessert and pastry.
