Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook fish, pasta, and vegetable dishes following established recipes and plating guidelines.
- Keep your station clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout service.
- Handle fish preparation, including filleting and portioning, accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain all food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with DOH regulations.
- Work collaboratively with other cooks and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
- Assist with pasta production, vegetable prep, and general kitchen duties as needed.
- Receive and properly store food deliveries, ensuring quality and freshness.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably with fish or pasta.
- Ability to follow recipes, multitask, and stay organized under pressure.
- Strong knife skills and experience with basic cooking techniques.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
- Physically able to lift and carry 30+ lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to learn and grow, with a solid work ethic and attention to detail.
Preferred but Not Required:
- Experience with pasta making, grilling, or fish butchery.
- Familiarity with Italian or Mediterranean cuisine.
