MAIN DUTIES:
- Warmly and graciously greets all guests upon arrival.
- To have a firm understanding of the menu items and be able to recommend items if guests inquire.
- To provide guests with estimated waiting time, always maintaining a professional, courteous attitude when confronted with hostile, impatient, or irate guests.
- To accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.
- To relay messages to servers and bus persons as needed.
- Thanks guests as they leave and invite them to return. Relay guest comments or suggestions to the manager on duty.
- To take personal responsibility for punctuality
- Maintain high standard of personal hygiene and appearance at all times
- To ensure high level of communication between the restaurant and other departments of the hotel
- To promote other Firmdale Hotels and restaurants
- Give directions to the restaurant to guest inquiring about it.
- To act as a role model for the Bar Host team, particularly in guest contact skills and personal presentation.
- To fully utilize guest history in order to develop individual guest service experience.
- To ensure that all team members are aware of VIPs and their requirements.
- Create and maintain a personal rapport with guests.
- To obtain constructive feedback from guests and ensure it is inputted into client record and is communicated and carried out on their next visit.
- To proactively seek to develop all aspects of the department in relation to booking and procedures.
- To maintain a constant and active presence on the floor and to support and assist the bar host team Personnel in training and development.
- To assist the F&B Manager in retaining high-caliber employees at the bar host position.
- Monitor, identify, and organize the delivery of training solutions in line with identified training needs - To drive forward the order of service guidelines wherever possible for the Bar host team.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Friendly demeanour
- Excellent level of spoken and written English
- Must be open to working AM/PM shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for long hours
- Open table certification preferably

Compensation Details
Compensation: Salary ($65,000.00 - $70,000.00)
