Very exciting leadership opportunity with Ometeo restaurant and the Long Shot Hospitality family- recent winners of the 2024 RAMMY for Restaurateurs of the Year.
We are seeking a GM with both fine dining and high volume experience. Candidates should have 3-5 years of Restaurant Manager experience and at least 2 years GM experience with a proven track record of high volume restaurant leadership and financial success, excellent history of team building and culture building, strong coaching skills, above average general food and beverage knowledge, and a very solid understanding of restaurant operations.
Candidates bring a positive and professional approach to the position and possess a genuine passion and enthusiasm for hospitality and the restaurant business. Long Shot Hospitality has a reputation of building very strong and loyal regular neighborhood followings and so we are actively looking for hospitality professionals to lead our team who will be focused on doing the same in our newest venue.
Little bit about the restaurant: Ometeo is a fresh, fun and elevated take on TexMex cuisine and Northern Virginia's new favorite gathering spot! A Tex Mex mashup of cuisine and culture, Ometeo is inspired by the ingredients, techniques and heritage from West Texas down to the Gulf Coast. Ometeo's culinary foundation is rooted firmly in Tex Mex tradition, heightened by Long Shot Hospitality's passion for seafood and local produce. Under the guidance of two award winning chefs- Long Shot Hospitality chef/partner Kyle Bailey and Texas native and Top chef winner Gabe Erales- we’re breathing fresh air into the beloved cuisine without compromising the warm comforting memories most people associate with sizzling platters and good times margaritas. Creative approaches are more about refreshing the genre through design, updated energy, sourcing, and quality while respecting the classics. We are deliberate about everything— how we greet guests, how comfortable is the bar, how easy is it to follow the menu, how our ingredients are sourced, and how well our food and cocktails are crafted. Attention to all the details culminates in an experience that exceeds guest expectation and leaves them looking forward to the next visit. Our goal is to not only be one of the best and most unique restaurant experiences in Tyson's, but in the entire DMV dining community.
