Raf’s is a vibrant all-day bakery and restaurant located in the heart of Nolita, New York City. We specialize in crafting seasonal, European-inspired dishes that draw from French and Italian culinary traditions, with a modern twist. Our menu highlights the art of simple, well-executed cuisine, from freshly baked breads and pastries to house-made pastas and wood-fired specialties. Raf’s is a space where high-quality ingredients and thoughtful techniques take center stage, and we’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to excellence.
Raf's is looking for an early AM baker to join the team, where craft and creativity come together in every bake. The ideal candidate has experience in mixing dough, shaping, proofing, scoring and baking off breads such as sourdough & baguettes. In addition to breads, experience in lamination, tarts & pastries is key, though we are always willing to train and grow the right candidates.
We need someone who’s confident working on their own but knows how to jump in and collaborate when needed. You have a positive attitude, bring good energy, and are just a pleasure to be around.
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($21.00 - $23.00)

Located at the intersection of NoHo, Nolita and the Bowery, Raf’s will open in the historic Parisi Bakery building. This century-old space—originally opened as “Angie’s French-Italian Bakery” in 1933—boasts both a longstanding reputation as an Italian bakery, as well as built-in bread ovens dating back to the 1930s. The ovens, immaculately preserved, offer a unique opportunity for not only baking, but also a hearth-driven menu of such dishes as cast iron sfincione (Sicilian pizza), saffron-scented mussels and dry-aged cote de bôef.
We are a female-owned and operated independent restaurant group. Raf's takes on the task of reinventing and restoring an iconic Italian bakery with 100 year old hearths. In true New York fashion, Raf's defies a singular conception (bakery, café, bar, restaurant, call it what you will) that honors the tradition and elegance of the European haunt but with a healthy dose of irreverent formality, a contradiction that is uniquely New York. It is, in New York fashion, an irreverent by-product of layered history, its neighborhood, and a legacy of progressive institutions.
Our aim is to provide a warm yet lively hospitality experience at our bakery and restaurant, while paying homage to the history of our uniquely “New York” space and appealing to the locals and passersby who frequent the neighborhood today.
