Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant General Manager for a newly opened high-volume, casual/upscale restaurant. The ideal candidate possesses global F&B knowledge and is able to oversee all aspects of our restaurant operations. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in food management with experience in craft cocktails, global wine knowledge and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role requires effective leadership skills, the ability to manage up to 100 employees, oversee staff training and development, possess financial literacy in respect to budgeting, revenue management, P&L, inventory, forecasting and a comprehensive understanding of the food industry.
Duties
• Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and customer service.
• Manage staff recruitment, training, and development to create a skilled and motivated team.
• Implement effective food handling procedures to maintain health and safety compliance.
• Develop and execute operational strategies to enhance efficiency and profitability.
• Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships.
• Ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines while maintaining quality standards.
• Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and employee engagement.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Requirements
• Minimum 3 years proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry.
• Strong knowledge of food management practices and food service operations.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and develop staff effectively.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to food handling.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
