About the Role...
Hospitality Operations Specialist ensures that the operation runs smoothly by having the menus and food cards ready to go for service, setting up and breaking down FOH areas for services, continually engaging with guests during service periods, and FTE engagement material. The individual must be organized and detail oriented, with great interpersonal skills. They must have an extensive knowledge of a wide array of cuisines and be able to communicate with the BOH as well as Guests about the menu and ingredients. This person needs to have excellent computer skills to help bring the menus and culinary engagement to life.- Format, adapt and print menus and food cards for daily changing menus.
- Provide administration support and advise cooks/managers regarding menus and food card ingredients.
- Responsible for self-checking food cards for any corrections necessary whether grammatical, formatting, missing ingredients or allergen related.
- Set up and breakdown of FOH services areas for Breakfast & Lunch Services, including placing menu cards, choosing appropriate utensils, setting up service ware & cutlery, and polishing cutlery.
- Responsible for Guest Engagement and Hospitality in the Cafe during Breakfast & Lunch services, including restocking utensils, tour guiding the menu, fielding feedback, answer menu related questions, cleaning FOH area (keep the line clean).
- Create organizational systems and processes for coordinating duties.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Certificate and License:
N/A
Experience:
Three (3) years increasingly responsible food service experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Ability to adapt to new tech systems & processes for menus and food cards.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Analyze situations accurately and adapt to an effective course of action.
- Knowledge of food allergens and good nutrition and food preparation and service practices.
- Proactive in coming up with ideas for culinary engagement.
- Culinary knowledge of a wide array of cuisines and ingredients.
- Menu comprehension and ingredient knowledge including interaction with culinary team to taste and comprehend these ingredients and said menu knowledge.
- Computer Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Illustrator, Canva and other Cloud-Based Services.
- Hospitality Skills: ability to engage with guest, describe menu and ingredients, receive service feedback answer guest questions, and create a welcoming environment.
- Must be able to lift at least 35lbs.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($22.00 - $24.00)
