New very busy,  full service Tuscan Style Osteria/ Piano Bar in the Beverly Grove Area looking for a floor manager to join our Florence Osteria Team in Beverly.

Strong hospitality and service experience a must. 
Summary
Supervise and direct activities of staff to ensure guests have a pleasant experience. Assist staff and guests, ensure prompt resolutions to guest and staff inquiries.
Floor Manager Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist guests with choices and questions • Take and resolve complaints from customers in a timely manner • Provide support to FOH staff during service • Process items on Toast POS for FOH staff as needed • Assist in supervising FOH staff during service • Assist with promotions for restaurant • Assist with weekly work schedules for FOH staff • Process, review and approve server and/or bar cash out paperwork at end of shift • Assist in maintaining employee relations and safety of all employees • Assist as needed with catering events • Assist with purchases as needed • Assist in preparation of inventory as needed • Assist in investigating food quality and service complaints • Assist in inspecting food, including portion control, and food preparation to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations • Document the needs of guests and communicate to the FOH staff to ensure guest satisfaction • Engage guests in positive dialogue to ensure return business • Make sure all staff members comply with safe food and alcohol handling procedures • Report and document any HR related incidents related to FOH and BOH staff • Check restaurant cleanliness, lighting, music, aesthetics throughout each shift • Perform restaurant opening and closing duties • Schedule, organize repair and maintenance as needed • Assist with interviews, hiring and training of new employees • Assist head chefs and general manager in planning and coordinating menus, keeping trends and competition information in mind • Assist with marketing activities and promotional events on and off-site • Assist with stocking inventory as required • Process of guest refunds and print itemized receipts for guests as requested • Check email account daily, answer guests’ questions, forward event and big party inquiries • Support the GM in updating Toast back of the house system

Two years minimum prior management experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificates and Licenses: Valid Driver's License CA RBS Training Alcohol Seller/Server Certified CA Food Handler Certified Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
