Morning Prep Cook position!
Be part of a brand new fast-paced chaotic fine dining restaurant in the East Village. You’ll prep an innovative and playful 6-course tasting menus for a communal table of 16.
This is a part-time position and service is currently 25 hours a week
Responsibilities:
- Assisting Executive Chef and Line Cooks with the preparation and planning of tasting menus
- Knife Skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Maintain safe, sanitary and organized work stations. Food Safety Knowledge.
- Show up on time and respect the schedule
Qualifications:
- 2 to 3+ years’ experience as a Prep Cook
- Motivated and self-directed
- Excellent time management
- Teamwork-oriented with a positive attitude
- Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices
Physical Aspects of the Prep Cook Role:
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
