The Good King Tavern has serviced the Bella Vista neighborhood since 2013 offering a fun, innovative, french inspired menu with a best in class beverage program. In 2019, father-daughter duo Bernard & Chloe Grigri expanded vertically to open their James Beard nominated upstairs wine bar, le Caveau. Today, the group is run by family and long-time employees, under the culinary direction of Chef Michael Valent. The kitchen supports not only building operations, but also Superfolie at 16th & Spruce, as well as a new project opening in South Philly early 2025.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:
A strong passion for food, with an interest in adjacent beverage initiatives and overall hospitality.
An interest in French cuisine and culture.
Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities.
Some experience with or interest in ordering & inventory management on a large scale.
A stable job history which demonstrates upward career progression.

The Good King Tavern & le Caveau are situated in the heart of Bella Vista: a downstairs French tavern, plus an upstairs bar à vins. The Good King Tavern opened in 2013 and has always featured an approachable, French-inspired menu with chalkboard specials changing regularly, an inspired classic cocktail program and one of the most relevant wine lists in the city. In Fall 2019, le Caveau opened just upstairs and within 6 short months, received a James Beard nod for Outstanding Wine Program.

We are a tight knit team, both front and back of house, that works very hard to maintain a professional, fun work environment and a sophisticated-casual vibe throughout the space.

The Good King Tavern hours:
Tues-Sat; kitchen until 10pm, bar until 11pm

le Caveau hours:
Thurs-Sat; food & drink 5pm-12am
