We're hiring baristas to join Piccolina da Centrolina, Chef Amy Brandwein's cafe. We love all things Italian, wood-fired and filled with flavor - that includes our coffee. Proudly serving La Colombe Coffee, we're seeking someone that appreciates the perfect way to start or end their day.
Barista
Responsibilities:
Requirements:
Must be able to work Weekends and Holidays. Shifts available 7:30 am-9:30pm Monday-Sunday
Preferred 6 months of experience working with coffee, handling cash and working directly with customers.
Bonus Points:
Experience within a coffee shop or restaurant with an established coffee program.
We are also looking for a candidate who can Bartend for our new spritz menu, ideally this candidate would make both coffee and alcoholic beverages.

About Us
Translating to “little one” in Italian, Piccolina is the sophomore restaurant from award-winning Washington DC Chef and Owner Amy Brandwein. The all-day café located across the alley from Brandwein’s Centrolina in CityCenterDC features a menu cooked over wood fire, alongside a variety of freshly baked breads inspired by the chef’s travels through Italy. Counter service invites guests to dine-in or enjoy chef’s dishes to-go. Piccolina is a reflection of Chef Brandwein’s interpretation of Italian cuisine. The bright and cozy space, with an open view of the wood-fired oven, invites guests to enjoy a casual meal inspired by the flavors of Italy.
Barista
Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service; ensure customer needs are met in a timely fashion
- Prepare hot and cold drinks in accordance with customer needs
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area
- Follow health and safety guidelines
- Interact with customers regularly and professionally
- Itemizes and totals purchases
- Collects payments by accepting cash and credit cards, making change for cash customers.
- Provides pricing and product information by answering questions.
- Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Assists in maintenance of store environment
- Maintain accurate department signage & pricing
- Interest in Italian Wine & Beverages

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly (Based on Experience) plus tips
