What you’ll do
- Develop systems and frameworks to address unit-level operational challenges to improve guest satisfaction & experience, operational efficiency, profitability, and more, preparing us to rapidly open locations across NYC and beyond
- Be the organization-wide owner of all things restaurant operations. We are looking for a domain expert to own the systems, tools, and decision-making process for how our restaurants operate.
- Manage daily restaurant operations to ensure superior service and guest satisfaction. Initially at our Union Square location, and soon several around NYC
- Hire, lead, coach, and train team members on all aspects of Popchew kitchen operations
- Manage inventory, quality, and safety protocols
- Maintain high standards of excellence
- Manage payroll and scheduling
- Work with leadership to implement local marketing initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of Restaurant General Management experience in a high volume, fast-paced QSR environment
- Working knowledge of restaurant operations, including personnel management, food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation and health codes, and security
- Ability to learn and train others on all aspects of Popchew kitchen ops
- Knowledgeable in all financial aspects of business operations
- Minimum 3 years of P&L responsibilities
- Food handler certification, preferred
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- Strong communication skills with an ability to advocate/convey your strategy to leadership - we value folks who are open to new perspectives and new ways of thinking/working.
