Borgo is the newest addition to the Marlow Collective (Diner, Marlow & Sons, Romans, Achilles Heel) from restaurateur Andrew Tarlow. The group’s first restaurant in Manhattan features an expansive formal dining room separated by a fireplace, an open kitchen with a wood-fired oven, and an ambitious beverage program curated by industry veterans. We are seeking gifted hospitality professionals to join our team.
Borgo is looking for a full/part-time Reservationist. This role is non-exempt and will be paid hourly.
Ideal Candidate Will:
- Manage day-to-day reservation requests while providing excellent customer service.
- Work with the Maitre'd to ensure a smooth transition into service and that guest needs are well communicated.
- Promote the restaurant’s products, including special events, seasonal menus, beverage offerings, and merchandise. Assist in developing strategies to attract guests and maximize retention.
- Maintain accurate records of reservations, guest preferences, guests of note, and all special occasions. Manage any other administrative duties as assigned by the management team.
Successful Candidates Will Have:
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Understanding of culinary and dining room terms, best practices, and techniques.
- Familiarity with reservation (Resy), and point-of-sale systems (Square)
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- A keen attention to detail
- Flexible hours (able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays)
