The first Pig & Khao opened in the Lower East Side in 2012. A second location, on the Upper West Side, opened in December 2024, while a third restaurant is currently in the works in Philadelphia. The menus at Pig & Khao celebrate Southeast Asian flavors influenced by Leah's upbringing and annual trips to the region. Chef Leah graduated from the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY and went on to cook in top kitchens in New York and Italy, After competing on the popular cooking show Top Chef, she spent time traveling and studying in Asia and fell back in love with the flavors she grew up cooking at home with her Filipino mom.
Piggyback, which opened in 2020, is not constrained by a particular region or country but rather travels throughout Asia for its menu full of street food classics and innovative cocktails.
