SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The HR Generalist at Quince & Co plays a key role in overseeing various aspects of human resources department within the organization. This position will be responsible for supporting recruitment, employee relations, training, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, and overall HR operations. The HR Generalist will ensure a positive work environment, foster employee engagement, and promote company values. This role requires a strong understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and the ability to collaborate effectively with managers and staff.

RESPONSIBILITES AND SPAN OF AUTHORITY:

· Accurately enter, update, and manage data in the payroll system, including processing new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, and other confidential information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

· Process Worker’s Compensation claims and respond to Worker’s Compensation audits.

· Respond to Unemployment claims.

· Keep employees’ files complete and updated to include electronic files.

· Collaborating with the Talent acquisition Manager to prepare offer letters for both hourly and salaried roles

· Proactively communicate with management and employees to ensure timely renewal of expiring training certificates, licenses, and other required documents.

· Educate and communicate company personnel policies and procedures to newly hired and existing employees.

· Facilitate onboarding for new hires, including an overview of the employee handbook, completion of employment documents, and benefit enrollment.

· Responsible for the offboarding process and coordinating with payroll for final checks

· Assist with company benefit administration for health benefits and 401K to include enrollment forms, plan questions, claims resolution, and open enrollment.

· Record and maintain data for each employee, including information such as addresses, weekly earnings, absences, supervisory reports on performance, change of statuses, and dates of and reasons for terminations.

· Manage employee announcements, including new hires, Employee of the Month recognitions, birthdays, and work anniversaries.

· Collaborate with management and the HR Director to address minor employee relations issues and conduct investigations, ensuring prompt and professional responses to both management and employees.

· Responsible for staying current with all new HR-related laws and regulations, ensuring timely updates to company policies and procedures. This includes ensuring that each restaurant is equipped with the latest labor law posters, as well as managing mid-year law updates and maintaining compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
The ideal candidate must demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with the utmost care and professionalism, while maintaining composure and effectiveness under pressure.

 Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.

· Prior experience in employee relations, with the ability to effectively address and resolve issues in a professional manner.

· Excellent organizational

· Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor when interacting with employees and management.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

· Experience using ADP Workforce Now is strongly preferred.

· Experience with Teamwork and SpotOn Systems strongly preferred

· Full-time On-Site Position

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred

· Minimum of two years of experience in an HR Coordinator role, preferably with exposure to Generalist responsibilities.

· Candidates with experience working in a similar restaurant environment will be given preference.

Compensation: Salary ($85,000.00 - $95,000.00)
