  • Collaborate with guests to design menus, craft proposals, and execute events tailored to their needs.
  • Handle guest and leadership feedback with grace, using it to continuously improve operations.

Understand guest needs and understand how to upsell as well as bend rules within reason to make things work within a budget and operation.

Event Management:

  • Plan and execute on-premise and off-premise events, managing every detail from start to finish.
  • Design event-specific materials such as menus, signage, and invitations.
  • Lead one weekly Banquet Event Order (BEO) meeting with the culinary team and other key team members to ensure alignment and preparation for upcoming events.
  • Attend one full team meeting each week to discuss upcoming events, share feedback, and align team goals.
  • Serve as the main point of contact during events to ensure all details are executed flawlessly.

Outside Sales and Business Development:

  • Conduct outside sales to secure new revenue streams, including partnerships with local businesses, corporate accounts, and community organizations.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to book events and generate leads beyond inbound inquiries.
  • Participate in networking events and community outreach to increase brand visibility and drive sales.

Small Business Mindset:

  • Think resourcefully to maximize profitability and create exceptional guest experiences within budget.
  • Prepare detailed profit and loss (P&L) statements for each event to track financial performance.
  • Brainstorm and execute new revenue-generating opportunities, such as tastings, spirit dinners, and loyalty programs.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Oversee staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for events and reservations.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members to foster a culture of excellence.
  • Lead pre-shift and management meetings to communicate event details and align team efforts.

Operational and Administrative Tasks:

  • Use tools like Tripleseat and Opentable to manage reservations, event tracking, and client communication, restricted dining schedules.
  • Create and send social media alerts, professional emails and marketing collateral to promote events and partnerships.
  • Ensure all event materials and documents are completed accurately and on time.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align events with business goals and brand standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in event planning, sales, or a related role, preferably in hospitality.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in email communication.
  • Experience with financial reporting, including P&L statements for events.
  • Proficiency with event management software (e.g., Tripleseat), reservation platforms (e.g., Opentable, TOCK ), and basic graphic design tools.
  • Resourceful, with a “small business owner” mindset that prioritizes creativity, efficiency, and results.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Pay: Competitive salary plus commission on events
  • Schedule: Full-time, with flexibility for remote planning work and on-site event execution, including evenings and weekends.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits available after 90 days for full time work. Paid time off and sick leave per company policy.

Employment Terms:

  • Employment is at-will and may be terminated by either party at any time, with or without cause or advance notice.
  • This position is contingent upon passing a criminal background check and reference verification.
