As Assistant Restaurant Manager you will support your management team in the leadership of one of our venues, taking the reins whenever they aren’t on site and partnering on all elements of running a successful business.

The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.
Seven years after launching The Ned London in 2017, we are proud to be opening a Ned’s Club in the US capital, our fourth and newest location.
The Property…
Ned’s Club Washington DC is a members’ club set over three floors of a neoclassical style building situated within President’s Park at 734 15th Street NW.
The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12-storey building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch.
The Club has a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with views overlooking the White House, US Treasury and Washington Monument, plus a Founder’s Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery and Conservatory. On level nine, there is a self-contained floor of private event spaces.
As an Assistant Restaurant Manager and a key part of the management team, you will:
- Support your management team in delivering all operational, commercial, experiential, and people performance
- You’ll contribute to and drive the restaurant strategy to achieve our goals and build a long-term vision for the brand
- Closely monitor financial performance, you’ll provide direction and make decisions where needed to protect and drive profitability, including labor scheduling, expense control, sales forecasting, annual budgeting process and month end performance analysis
- Our customer and member experience are central to success, and you’ll be obsessive about any detail that has the potential to make or break this
- You’re accountable for ensuring the whole team delivers exceptional service and equally, you’ll hold them to account for performance as measured on the restaurant balanced scorecard
- As an accountable person for health and safety and labor relations, you’ll ensure that all regulatory compliance is maintained
- Support with all people leadership tasks - including team recruitment, development and performance chats, onboarding new starters - this is a great role for a growing manager who wants to build their people management skillset
What you can bring to the role:
- Previous leadership experience with a proven track record of delivering outstanding food, guest experiences, and people management
- Our customers and guests expect the best, so high standards are essential
- An organized and detailed manner is necessary, as impeccable record keeping is needed to maintain records for our safety and audit standards
- A commercial mindset is non-negotiable in all our leaders as you will be supporting in delivering excellent financial performance and results
- Our operation can be a high-pressure environment, but you’ll be the steady presence that our team look to, so a calm demeanor and a genuine passion for providing guests with an exceptional experience every time is essential
- Have the ability to be flexible with your schedule, we believe in balancing your needs and our guests

Opening this winter 2024, Ned’s Club Washington, DC is located within President’s Park at 734 15th Street NW, the Club occupies the top three floors above the Milken Center which spans a campus of five historic buildings, including the Walker Building and former Riggs Bank Corcoran branch.

Alongside design, members can also look forward to a variety of curated events, such as CEO-led workshops, rare whisky tastings, panel discussions, live music and entertainment, all embodying the spirit of DC.
