About OH LA LA:OH LA LA is a chic cafe, bakery, and restaurant inspired by the South of France. We specialize in French-inspired food, drinks, and pastries, served in a welcoming and beautifully designed space. As a fast-growing startup, we’re launching our much-anticipated
dinner service this January, and we’re seeking a personable and professional Host to join our team.
About the Role:As a
Host, you’ll be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. You’ll manage reservations, coordinate seating, and ensure our guests begin their dining experience with a smile. Your organizational skills and enthusiasm will play a vital role in the success of our new dinner service.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the flow of the dining room.
- Organize reservations using our system and accommodate walk-ins when possible.
- Maintain an accurate waitlist and communicate estimated wait times to guests.
- Assist with table assignments and ensure smooth coordination with servers.
- Keep the entrance, host stand, and dining area tidy and welcoming.
- Provide guests with information about the restaurant and menu offerings.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns professionally and promptly.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 1 year as a host in a fast-paced, sit-down restaurant environment.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage a reservation system (experience with Toast or similar platforms is a plus).
- Attitude: A friendly, professional demeanor and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Availability: Flexible evening and weekend availability.
