Job Title: Bartender (We are hiring for an Immediate Start, please have a flexible schedule, we are so excited to meet you)
Job Summary: The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving a wide range of beverages, including classic and contemporary cocktails, wine, and beer. This role requires creativity, excellent customer service, and a strong knowledge of mixology to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, and beer according to the restaurant’s recipes and standards.
- Create and innovate new cocktails, incorporating seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.
- Ensure all beverages are presented with the highest standards of quality and aesthetics.
- Greet guests warmly and courteously, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Take beverage orders and provide recommendations based on guests’ preferences and the restaurant’s offerings.
- Monitor and maintain guest satisfaction, anticipating their needs and responding promptly to requests.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including workstations, counters, and equipment.
- Ensure that all bar supplies, including glassware, garnishes, and ingredients, are well-stocked and properly stored.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food and beverage handling and sanitation practices.
- Assist with inventory management.
- Monitor beverage costs and control waste, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and any billing discrepancies with integrity and professionalism.
- Work closely with the front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
- Assist with training new bartenders and bar staff as needed.
- Stay current with industry trends and continuously improve mixology skills and knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer.
- Provide guests with detailed information about the beverages served, including origin, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Enhance the guests’ experience by offering insights and engaging in storytelling about the cocktails and spirits.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a bartender in a high-volume or upscale environment.
- Strong knowledge of mixology, including classic and contemporary cocktails, wine, and beer.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods, as well as lift and carry moderate weights.
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol and have a valid alcohol server certification if required by local regulations.
- Basic math skills and experience with POS systems.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Typically works in a bar, lounge, or restaurant setting, with exposure to noise and frequent guest interactions.
- Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are often required. The restaurant is open nightly, Tuesday to Saturday.
