The Mermaid Inn and Mermaid Oyster Bar Company is looking for an experienced Maitre D to join our team.
Responsibilities include
- Welcoming guests upon their arrival and escorting them to their tables
- Managing the reservations book to maximize potential
- Managing reservations and handling any special requests or dietary needs of the guests
- Supervising the service team to ensure excellent service and customer satisfaction
- Training new staff members about service standards, menu items, and wine pairings
- Resolving any customer complaints or issues in a professional manner
- Coordinating with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the dining area
- Providing guests with information about the menu, answering their questions, and offering recommendations
- Uphold company standards of hospitality at all times
Experience with Opentable and Resy required. Only resumes with strong Maitre D experience will be considered.
