Job Details

Position Summary 

Responsible for supporting wait staff with water/refilling, bussing, and keeping the flow of plates, glassware, and other service supplies throughout the shift. Running bus tubs to the kitchen and emptying them, then bringing fresh supplies to their proper places. Bussing and resetting tables for service.

Responsibilities 

  • Prepare dining room for service by stocking napkins, glassware, plates, and utensils at service stations
  • Clear tables after guests, wipe tables or seats with dampened sanitation clothside 
  • Clean and reset tables for service
  • Remove used items including glasses, napkins, and plates, etc. when guests no longer need them
  • Complete side work - bringing fresh supplies from the kitchen to the dining room-glassware etc.
  • Sweep the property as needed
  • Maintain sanitation to Department of Health standards; Keep work area clean and organized

Essential Functions

  • Able to comprehend and follow written and verbal direction

  • Able to lift at least 30 pounds on a regular basis
  • Able to bend, stoop, stand and perform extensive walking for 8-10 hours a day

  • Able to approach their work with a sense of ownership and work with a sense of urgency
  • Able to work nights, weekends and holidays and variable schedule, per the needs of the business

  • Maintain polished personal presentation; grooming meets Company standards as outlined by Employee Handbook
  • Strict adherence to posted schedule and clock in/out at times
  • Communicate information effectively and efficiently
  • Maintain general knowledge of the restaurant, location, transportation, management team, etc.onu
  • Comply with Company's policies and procedures, as well as city, state and federal laws
  • Adhere to all HR policies and guidelines
  • Inform Manager on Duty immediately of any DOH or OSHA/workplace safety violations
  • Knowledgeable in all restaurant operations
  • Update knowledge and skills by participating in any further required training

Requirements

  • Great interpersonal skills
  • 1+ years prior Busser experience or similar role in a restaurant
  • Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules
  • Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours
  • Multi-tasking abilities
