Chef de Cuisine - Upscale French

Location: New York, NY

Salary: $120,000 - $130,000

The Client:

I am working with a distinguished restaurant group, renowned for its upscale french cuisine and inviting atmosphere. We are currently seeking a Chef de Cuisine to join their team. This role presents a remarkable opportunity to lead the kitchen in a renowned dining establishment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the culinary operations, ensuring guests are provided with an outstanding experience
• Ensure the food is prepared, plated, and served efficiently and to the highest standards
• Recruit a high performing team. Train staff in proper cooking techniques and adherence to recipes and quality standards
• Establish appropriate staffing levels and conduct daily shift briefings with culinary team members
• Manage inventory, labour and food costs

Chef de Cuisine Requirements:

• 3-5 years of kitchen management experience in a upscale environment
• Mastery of various cooking techniques and cuisines, with a focus on high-quality, innovative, and seasonal dishes
• Ability to manage kitchen budgets, control costs, and maximize profitability
• Genuine passion for food and dedication to delivering exceptional dining experiences
