About Us: At Passerine, we are excited to bring a high-level Indian dining experience to NYC. Opening at the end of October, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional food and service, inspired by the Michelin-starred vision of our talented Chef Chetan, who earned accolades in DC last year. Our goal is to create a memorable dining experience that reflects the rich flavors and traditions of Indian cuisine while aiming for a Michelin star in our new home.

Position Overview: We are looking for a lounge server can who can assist the host team when time allows, as well as generally help service, running drinks, etc.  We have a beautiful "drawing room" where guests can enjoy cocktails and snacks (mostly finger foods).  This person will play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our guests and ensuring they enjoy a seamless dining experience. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide outstanding service to all guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable.
• Knowledgeably present the menu, including food and beverage offerings, while highlighting the unique aspects of our cuisine.
• Take and manage orders accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate service.
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and special requests with professionalism and care.
• Uphold the restaurant's high standards of service and contribute to a positive team environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage, with a particular interest in Indian cuisine.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Actively practice food safety procedures
• Organizational skills
• Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours and lift at least 50 pounds
