OASES Restaurant is seeking a host with the highest level of hospitality & professionalism.

Host must interact with all guests, employees and management in a professional and collaborative manner to create an exemplary and safe dining experience. The Host manages reservations, delivers accurate wait times, and is the first and last point of contact for our guests.

What You’ll Do

• Cultivate one of the most welcoming spaces in NYC
• Extend a warm greeting to all guests and guide them to their tables, offering menus and personalized recommendations as required.
• Uphold a standard of exceptional hospitality, ensuring guests feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive.
• Demonstrate the ability to recognize regular patrons and VIPs, communicating their arrival to the team accordingly.
• Articulate OASES service style and ambiance concisely and effectively to guests.
• Establish the tone for the guest experience
• Effectively manage reservations and the waitlist using RESY
• Inform waiting guests promptly when their table is ready, assisting them in transporting their beverages when moving within the bar area.
• Relay any specific guest preferences or requirements noted in reservations to the front-of-house (FOH) team, managers and kitchen.
• Assist with service maintenance tasks, such as clearing and resetting tables, refilling water glasses, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area.
• Coordinate seating arrangements with the FOH team and managers, maintaining awareness of table turnover and floor dynamics.
• Promptly notify team members and managers of any guest dissatisfaction, disruptive behavior, or signs of intoxication.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization in the host area at all times.
• Provide support for additional FOH projects as required to contribute to the smooth operation.
• Provide support to the Events Team.

We are looking for a candidate that is positive and friendly and has genuine passion for hospitality. You must have excellent communication skills and organizational skills, think and act quickly. Host must also be comfortable with taking directions and willing to work as a team player.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of hospitality experience
• understanding of OASES philosophy, food & beverage
• Knowledge of standard restaurant service procedures
• Knowledge of each job function on the floor and understanding of the priorities of service
• Must be punctual and reliable
• Must be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Health & Safety

• NYC Food Handler’s Certification suggested
• Adhere to COVID-19 sanitation protocols issued by the Center for Disease Control

Pay: $22.00 per hour
