PAPA SAN LEAD BARTENDER AD

The hospitality group behind the acclaimed New York City restaurants, Llama Inn and Llama San is expanding its footprint with the upcoming Papa San, a Peruvian Izakaya set to open in early 2025 on 34th Street and 10Th Avenue (in The Spiral building). This will be a dynamic, high-energy atmosphere bar with a creative cocktail menu.  We are currently looking for an experienced Lead Bartender to start on or around January 2025.

As our Lead Bartender, you’ll be at the heart of our bar operations, helping to execute cocktails recipes and oversee the prep program quality, training the bar team and ensuring our guests have a seamless and enjoyable experience.  You’ll work hand in hand with the incredible team of 3 Monos as well as the beverage manager.   

Responsibilities

Day to Day:

• Prepare and serve cocktails with precision, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to program standards.
• Train and guide bar staff on techniques, service, product knowledge and company standards.
• Oversee opening and closing side work, ensuring the bar is clean, organized, and fully stocked, with all equipment properly cared for and ready for service.
• Working with the beverage manager with inventory.
• Provide exceptional service.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of bartending experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Expertise in cocktail recipes, garnishes, and presentation.
• Incredible customer service skills and the ability to lead by example.
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
