Comedor Nishi is a spot located in beautiful La Jolla, is a new concept featuring a Breakfast and Lunch menu with Mexican, French & Japanese flavors.  

Comedor Nishi is opened 7 days a week from 8am-3pm daily.

We are looking for energetic, service driven individuals with a passion for hospitality, who want to create experiences that bring guests back.


Required Qualifications:

This position will require leadership skills in both FOH and BOH. Self development, strong communication skills, and effective people management is a must. As a Supervisor you must be able to coach people, train skills, manage personalities, and discipline behaviors. Minimum of 3 years in breakfast restaurant or fine dining management required. Strong administrative skills needed.

More than anything you must have a passion for creating experiences that will bring guests back. A desire to always deliver the best food, beverages, and service to each and every guest. An understanding that if you are not serving guests directly, you must be serving those who do.

Core Competencies:

-          Ability to create training materials and execute effective training

-          Executing food, beverage, and service standards.

-          Ability to run a smooth shift from open to close: set-up restaurant, direct crew, execute service, close down.

-          Conflict resolution, guest recovery.

-          Cash handling/end of day reconciliation.

-          Basic computer skills: Email, Word, Excel.

-          Elementary financial skills: P&L understanding, AP, Payroll

-          Basic knowledge of HR practices: hiring, onboarding, training, disciplining, terminations.

-          Cost control: Food Cost, Pour Cost, Labor Cost, Direct Controllables.

-          POS: Toast knowledge preferred.
