Confidant Luncheonette is inspired by New York City’s vibrant diner and deli culture, bringing a fine-dining level of attention to detail and inventiveness to midday fare in a bright and bustling, yet laid-back environment. For dinner, Confidant will transform into a place of comfort and luxury.  Showcasing a seasonal a la carte menu with a 6-course tasting menu and chef table experience that will spotlight the ingenuity and creativity of the Confidant team.  Confidant & its Luncheonette are committed to matching the vibrant innovation and excitement of Industry City and its historic roots through a high-level execution, and an intentional, relentlessly evolving menu.

Position Requirements

• A highly motivated and energetic personality and could take the initiative and exhibit flexibility
• Mix and Serve drinks following standard recipes
• Maintain knowledge of the characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Strong communication skills behind the bar and greet guests in a positive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome.
• Mix and serve drinks following set standard recipes according to Confidant Brand Standards
• Ensure our extraordinary Guest Service standards are always maintained.
• Serves exciting, innovative, and delicious food and beverages for guests per the established standards of service.
• Assures that sequence of service standards is met by greeting guests, taking orders, directing guests to amenities and monitoring/meeting guest needs and requests.
• Maintains knowledge of menu cuisine, wine list, special items, etc. featured in the restaurant.
• Must maintain knowledge menu items and ingredients.
• Demonstrates a courteous, friendly, congenial, polite, professional and efficient attitude.
• Be able to operate computer and point-of-sale (POS) equipment with accuracy and appropriate speed.
• Ability to communicate, [orally and/or in writing], by providing and obtaining information of a complex, technical or sensitive nature, effectively, clearly, correctly, concisely, completely, logically, in a timely manner, and at an appropriate level and format, while maintaining confidentiality.
• Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 pounds for distances of up to 50 feet and to manipulate them from heights which may require the use of a footstool.
  
  
  Skills and Qualifications
  
  Evening and Weekend Availability a MUST!
  • Team-service experience is strongly recommended.
  • Customer service orientation should consist of the organization, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and the ability to work in teams.
  • A minimum of one (1) years for bartender / two (2) year for barback of experience in a restaurant or similar environment preferred, adequate knowledge of food safety and sanitation, flexible schedule and the ability to work in a team environment.
