Shuka, led by Chef/Partner Ayesha Nurdjaja, is looking for an Executive Sous Chef

Shuka offers a unique interpretation of Eastern Mediterranean cuisine that packs multi-layered, nuanced flavor into every bite, and draws energy and vitality from a commitment to honoring seasonal green market ingredients and using regional farm products. 

We focus on responsibly and locally sourced ingredients with a nod to seasonality. Chef Ayesha Nurdjaja brings an exciting and dynamic take on some of her favorite dishes inspired by her extensive travels. We serve lunch, dinner and brunch.

Shuka is part of The Bowery Group, responsible for neighborhood favorites Cookshop, Rosie’s, Shukette and Vic’s. The Executive Sous Chef should have solid leadership skills, a highly developed sense of urgency, and the ability to work well under pressure while managing others. The successful candidate will be a responsible team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ESC is expected to effectively handle multiple tasks in a composed, friendly and hospitable manner and have the speed and skill to manage the fast-pace of our restaurant.

This position requires daytime hours, evening hours and weekends with FULL TIME AVAILABILITY.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($85,000.00 - $90,000.00)
