Position Summary:
As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first face our guests see, setting the tone for their entire experience at The Meeting Spot. We’re looking for a friendly, professional, and organized individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Your role is crucial in creating a positive first impression and ensuring smooth operations as guests arrive, dine, and depart.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly as they enter, providing a friendly and professional welcome
- Manage reservations and walk-ins to optimize seating arrangements
- Maintain an organized waitlist, informing guests of wait times when necessary
- Communicate clearly with team members to ensure seamless service
- Assist with basic guest inquiries and provide helpful information about the restaurant’s menu, specials, and events
- Ensure the host station and entrance are always clean and inviting
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a host or in a customer service role preferred, but not required
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
