Winter's is seeking a friendly, skilled, and professional Head Bartender/Assistant General Manager who is passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences. This is a key role on our small, close-knit team, and we are looking for a dedicated individual who shares our enthusiasm for making Winter's the premier Jazz club in Chicago. We are passionate about what we do and are looking for an enthusiastic, team-oriented professional who takes pride in their craft and values creating a warm, welcoming environment for guests and staff alike.
This position requires five shifts per week, Wednesday through Sunday, with four shifts scheduled as Head Bartender and one as Assistant General Manager. Additionally, the ideal candidate would take on AGM responsibilities when our GM has extended scheduled time off. Compensation for the Head Bartender role is $18/hour plus tips, while pay for the AGM role will be considerably higher and commensurate with experience.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned Head Bartender/AGM who excels under pressure, thrives in high-volume environments, and consistently delivers exceptional service. Beyond preparing and serving great drinks efficiently, we are looking for someone who will represent Winter's as an ambassador of hospitality, creating memorable experiences for patrons who share a love of Live Jazz. As part of our small, tightly-knit team, it is essential to maintain a friendly, respectful, and collaborative atmosphere for both guests and colleagues.
At Winter's, we offer a professional and enjoyable work environment where all team members are valued and treated with respect. Working here provides the opportunity to cater to an upscale clientele in a vibrant neighborhood, enjoy shorter shifts (typically 6-7 hours) with minimal side work (as we do not serve food), and, of course, experience world-class Live Jazz while you work.
