Description of Role:
The Host is responsible for delivering excellence in guest services by developing relationships with Members, providing personalized service, anticipating and delivering guests' needs; going above and beyond expectations. We are looking for someone who is warm and inviting and can "own" the floor guiding the guest experience from the door to the table and as they head out for the evening while honing the CORE: culture.
Primary Role & Responsibilities
- Greeting Members & guests in an inviting manner and get them properly checked in
- Act as a liaison between the guest, management, service staff and kitchen and communicate accordingly
- Assign Members & guests to preferred tables, while understanding dining room flow and equal distribution amongst servers
- Escort Members and guests to tables; pulling out chairs and assisting with tables.
- Observe and anticipate members and guests' needs
- Learn and recognize Members and guests; build relationship and rapport
- Be thoroughly familiar with all menu items, including ingredients and food allergens, and wine list in order to assist guests and answer questions accurately, if needed
- Answers phone
- Ensure a timely send off; genuinely thanking guests as they depart the restaurant.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of the host stand and lobby area throughout the shift.
- Answers Members & guest questions with regards to the property and connects them with the appropriate team member to assist with services
- Represent CORE: through polished communication, personal appearance, and professionalism
- Ensure that dining bookings are confirmed ahead of arrival
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years' of experience as a host, brand ambassador, or customer service preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and people-management skills
- A genuine nature; the ability to comfortably engage in a natural dialogue with guest
- Flexible schedule and ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed
- "Guest-first" mindset
- Proficiency with SevenRooms, or other similar online reservation systems
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing guest services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($25.00)
