Hojoko is a Japanese Tavern located in the heart of Fenway Park. Part of Cushman Concepts, a multi-concept, hospitality-focused restaurant group located in Boston and New York, this is an opportunity to join a strong team, led by 2012 James Beard Award-Winning Chef-Owner Tim Cushman & Nancy Cushman. Position Overview:
We’re seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team. As a Dishwasher, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment, ensuring our operations run smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and being part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash and sanitize all dishes, utensils, cookware, and other kitchen equipment following health and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness in the dishwashing area, including sweeping and mopping floors, and taking out trash as needed.
- Organize clean items in their proper storage locations.
- Ensure dishwashing machines and equipment are cleaned and maintained regularly.
- Assist kitchen staff with basic tasks, such as stocking supplies or cleaning spills.
- Monitor supplies of dish soap, detergents, and other cleaning materials, notifying management when restocking is needed.
- Comply with food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs.), and work in a hot, humid environment.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to assist as needed.
- Prior experience in a kitchen or similar environment is a plus but not required.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
