Job Overview
We seek a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team in a dynamic and fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fine dining and food service management, with the ability to lead and inspire a team. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation, and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and staff.
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative menu items that reflect current trends.
  • Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper food handling practices.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety protocols, and kitchen management.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
  • Assist in menu planning, costing, and portion control to maximize efficiency.
  • Handle customer inquiries or complaints regarding food quality or service.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen management practices and fine dining standards.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Proficient in food handling techniques and safety regulations.
  • Experience in bartending is a plus but not required.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($60,000.00 - $65,000.00)
