About the Role

Little Beet Table is looking for an experienced and highly motivated General Manager who is seriously passionate about hospitality and leading amazing teams. Is that you?!

The General Manager will play a pivotal role in helping the brand and restaurant define its

presence and success in one of New York City’s most visible and vibrant neighborhoods. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an ambitious and experienced operator who is keen on building a compelling career within a high-growth company.

This role will be responsible for all restaurant operations and will collaborate closely with our District Manager to establish what the ideal guest experience and business profitability look like for the restaurant. The General Manager will have full P&L responsibility and will be the ultimate role model when it comes to building and leading a world-class hospitality restaurant team and an engaging ambassador for the brand.

The ideal candidate will have experience in leading, teaching, and inspiring restaurant teams to execute to high standards, every time. They have hospitality in their bones and will be driven by their passion to create memorable and unique guest experiences through amazing food and guest service, and they will be relentless in their pursuit to drive remarkable business results.

Role Description

  • Oversee all aspects of the operation within the restaurant, with full oversight of the Front of House and Back of House
  • Leads and manages the Bar area. Orders all beer, wine, liquor, and non-alcoholic beverages and bar supplies to pars. Manages beverage vendor accounts, as well as deploying proper staff.
  • Deliver the brand's guest experience from beginning to end; provide consistent execution and exemplary service to our guests
  • Create and update business strategies for the operation to drive sales
  • Manage labor deployment within the parameters of budget
  • Direct Front of House and Back of House team to ensure all opening, mid, and closing procedures are followed
  • Establish great presence in the neighborhood and drive traffic by creating memorable dining experiences and an inviting restaurant environment; Be the face of hospitality in the restaurant and lead by example with generous hospitality for locals, regulars and first timers.
  • Actively work to build restaurant business through leveraging reservation technology and online ordering platforms.
  • Achieve and maintain Department of Health Standards, holding your team accountable and role-modeling cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and retain a successful team. Train, coach, and mentor all team members
  • Ensure completion of food safety checklists
  • Maintain and manage food cost, troubleshooting any issues that may arise
  • Handle daily P&L and financial responsibility- with special attention to waste and labor management and building top line sales to grow the business

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of General Manager experience in a restaurant with comparable steps of service and volume (Experience with full-service restaurants is required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred
  • Formal culinary education is a plus
  • Toast POS, Clover, or similar POS experience strongly preferred
  • Previous experience with P&L, forecasting, inventory, and COGs is strongly preferred
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities required
  • An entrepreneurial spirit. You are open to testing, iterating, learning, and testing some more to find the best business forward solutions
  • The willingness to roll up your sleeves and pitch in whenever necessary
  • The discipline and desire to create systems and organization within fast-changing environments
  • Excellent communication skills and strong computer skills
  • The ability to perform physical requirements of the position (lift up to 50lbs) with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Your Department of Health and/or ServSafe certification
  • Proficiency in Spanish, French, and/or Arabic a plus

Compensation: Salary ($85,000.00 - $95,000.00)
