Hotel Chelsea is now hiring restaurant managers for our a new restaurant concept that is set to open in the first part of 2025. We are looking for dedicated and talented managers with experience in restaurant openings. We are currently focused on candidates with a minimum of 2 years of New York City restaurant management experience at fine-dining and casual fine-dining restaurants. Japanese restaurant experience, fine-dining experience, and Hotel Food & Beverage experience a huge plus.

About This Role
The Restaurant Manager actively leads by example, inspires, and teaches skills that will elevate the guest experience, their teams, their restaurant, and ultimately Sunday Hospitality as a company.
Specific job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Works with the General Manager, Director of Food & Beverage and Partners to develop and execute strategies to achieve operational goals at the restaurant level
- Assists in the opening operations at the restaurant
- Directs service and upholds standards daily
- Collaborates with the Culinary team to achieve top level guest experience and critical acclaim
- Manages and achieves daily revenue, labor, and cogs targets
- Drives service to meet or exceed budgeted goals
- Participates in weekly manager meetings
- Conducts pre-shift meetings
- Ensures the restaurant team delivers on SHG service standards; touches tables at every service to cultivate regulars
- Ensures consistent execution of food, beverage, service, and hospitality that aligns with SHG values
- Ensures that operational and training standards are consistently followed and executed by the entire restaurant team
What You Bring
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a senior management position overseeing a full-service restaurant
- Experience in Japanese restaurants, fine-dining, and hotel restaurants is preferred.
- A passion for excellence in hospitality
- NYC Food Protection Certificate (Food Handler’s) required
- Proficiency in a variety of technology systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and POS
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and digitally
- Ability to effectively solve and deal with a variety of changing situations under stress
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and proactive attitude
- A solid track record of leading high-caliber service
- Flexible work schedules: the ability to work night, weekends, holidays, as business permits
- The ability to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects, up to 50lbs
- Kneel, bend, or stoop, ascend or descend stairs; be on feet for extended periods of time
