Food Runner

Olmsted is seeking a career-minded Food Runner/ Busser who is highly motivated and passionate about hospitality.  A team player is a must. We are looking for a part time leading into  full time employee (4-5 shifts per week) averaging 30-35 hours.  Additional Hours available once the season begins to pick up into Fall 

If you are driven by knowledge, have a high level of anticipation and awareness, and carry a team-oriented mindset, you may be a good fit for our team. We hope you carry a warm and confident presence that brings comfort to those around you.

Candidate prerequisites:

• Proficiency in steps of service
• Able and willing to work as part of a team 
• High level of interest in wine & spirits 
• Experience with non-verbal communication 
• Creative and self-motivated problem solver

Our approach is informed by the fine-dining schools from which Chef Greg Baxtrom and our team have learned, but is casual and approachable. 

Olmsted was a James Beard Awards Finalist for Best New Restaurant in 2017. The owners started the NYC Hospitality Coalition, a food bank for those impacted by COVID-19, and the Black Entrepreneur Series pop-up in the space of Maison Yaki (our sister restaurant) this year. Additionally, our kitchen team prepares hundreds of meals a day for Rethink, which are distributed in the local community.
