Sous Chef

Woon is a homestyle Chinese restaurant located in Historic Filipinotown. We are a high volume restaurant with a small team that wears a lot of hats and works together to get things done. We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Our current Sous Chef will be transferring to our new location so we are seeking someone to work closely with our CDC at our original location and help keep the Woon efficiency, culture and creativity alive. The Sous Chef will be working directly with our CDC in managing a tight knit team, production schedules, service efficiencies, new specials training new staff, and communication. The schedule would be a mix of overseeing prep shifts and expo shifts to oversee service.

Full-Time, 5 days / week

Wok or Sauté experience is a plus!
Requirements:

• Lead Line Cook or Sous Chef experience is required
• Strong leadership and communication skills is a must
• Food Handler's Card required
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• CLEAN
• Organized
• Team player
