Job Summary: As the Service Director at Southern Chicago you are responsible for overseeing all aspects of front-of-house operations to ensure exceptional service delivery and guest satisfaction. This role involves leading a team of service staff, implementing service standards, and fostering a positive dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and develop service staff; create a motivating work environment; conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Guest Experience: Ensure a high standard of service quality; address guest feedback and complaints promptly; develop strategies to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Operations Management: Oversee daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and inventory management; ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Service Standards: Develop, implement, and maintain service protocols; monitor service delivery and make adjustments as necessary to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth: Collaborate with management to develop promotional strategies; analyze service trends and suggest improvements to boost sales.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service and communication; coordinate with the General Manager on budget management and cost control.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports on service performance, guest feedback, and staff development to the management team.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a management role within the restaurant industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant management software.
